One hundred fence posts and an old gravel road separated Jade Ahrens and Travis Hull growing up. They rode the same school bus and graduated in the same class. It was easy to catch them riding horses around that small old railroad town down by the river eating mulberries and turning their faces and hands red using the horses for the extra height they needed to reach, picking mushrooms and swimming in the river. They found joy in being country kids a world away from town. Jade found that passion for horses from her mother and Travis from his father.
After graduation, Jade moved away, and Travis stayed on that beautiful gravel road next to the river. Life took them in different directions but their friendship and love for horses always remained. After the passing of her mother, Jade returned to that small railroad town after 20 years. She reached out to Travis for support and guidance, time seemed to stop, and they were kids again leaning on each other.
Something had brought them back together; Jade’s mom or Travis’ dad, they were not sure, but things seamlessly fell back into place. Their passion for horses took another step and Jade decided she was going to look for a stallion just like Jade and her mother had dreamed about.
Rockin’ Des Ranch was born and Bougee Rey Von found his home in that small railroad town by the river.
